Great size and cleanliness of the room on the quieter third floor after moving from a noisy first floor. Renovated conditions made for a comfortable stay. The owner kindly provided adapters for the outlets.
Issues with the beds being basic but still comfortable enough for a decent sleep. The air conditioning struggled during the heat wave but kept things tolerable. Noisy toilet tank refilling between bathroom and bedroom proved disruptive at night, along with an old elevator that didn’t always work well after heavy usage.

The location provided quick access to attractions and local eateries, including delicious home-baked Alentejo bread nearby. The staff were exceptionally supportive, almost like family, enhancing the overall experience. However, the air conditioning struggled during the warmer days, and the elevator had reliability issues, which detracted slightly from the comfort of the stay. Minor drainage issues in the shower were also noticeable, albeit manageable.

Staying in a beautifully furnished room with breathtaking views was a highlight, just a short walk from major attractions. The service was exceptional, with accommodating staff who went above and beyond to assist me with late check-in and transportation. While the charming old building had its quirks, like a sometimes unreliable elevator, the warm atmosphere and delicious grilled fish from a nearby café made for a delightful experience.
